Any learner, who is interested in pursuing a Vocational Education programme can register as per the entry requirements in terms of minimum qualifications, as given at Table I on page 25 onwards. Minimum age for admission varies from 14 years to 18 years depending upon the programme selected. There is no upper age limit for the Vocational Courses.
The NIOS does not take any responsibility with regard to employment or the provisions of the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986.

No. You will not be able to change your AVI/SAIED or course after admission. Therefore choose your AVI/SAIED and course(s) carefully.
You may appear for examination as per your convenience after completing the requisite study period. Examinations are conducted twice a year, in April–May and then in October–November. You can avail as many as nine chances to clear your course in five years of the registration period.
The Government of India has vested NIOS with the authority to examine and certify students registered with it in vocational, technical and academic courses upto pre-degree level through Resolution No. F-5-24/90 dated 14th September 1990 published in Gazette of India dated 20 October 1990. A copy of this is available at Appendix-C.
